4 Days Mount Elgon (Wagagi peak)

Your expedition begins in the vibrant Arabica coffee plantations of Budadiri before ascending the dramatic “Wall of Death,” where sturdy metal ladders now provide a safe passage up sheer cliffs into the mist-shrouded montane forests. As you climb, the landscape transforms from dense bamboo thickets into an otherworldly afro-alpine moorland, populated by prehistoric Giant Lobelias and Groundsels.

The ultimate reward is standing atop Wagagai Peak (4,321m), where the horizon stretches across the Kenyan border and into the heart of the crater. This is a trek for those seeking solitude and raw natural beauty; it is a challenge of endurance that swaps crowded trails for the silent majesty of an ancient volcanic giant.
