Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you’re whisked to your hotel for an orientation session. Relax, meet your fellow trekkers, and enjoy a restful evening before the ascent begins.
Board the Aerolink flight to Kasese, drive to Nyakalengija Gate, and trek through rainforest habitat to Nyabitaba Hut. The day concludes with dinner and detailed route briefing for upcoming days.
Hike the high forest and bamboo zones, crossing streams, ridges, and mixed moorland. Arrive at John Matte Hut with time for rest, map review, and acclimatisation preparation.
Enjoy a guided hike to Bigo Bog valley or surrounding alpine meadows. Spot rare wildflowers and birdlife. Return to hut mid-afternoon for rest, photos, and strategy discussion.
Continue upward, passing reflective alpine lakes and rich moorlands. Arrive at Bujuku Hut, where you soak in high-altitude views and recharge before the next acclimatisation.
Explore the high-altitude surroundings near Bujuku, take optional side hikes, enjoy quiet reflection by the lakes, and discuss summit tactics with your guides.
Begin ascent through rocky trails to Elena Hut at 4,541 m. Glacier views dominate the horizon. Relax over dinner and prepare for summit day.
Pre-dawn summit push across snow slopes to Margherita Peak (5,109 m). Descend via Kitandara to Guy Yeoman Hut for celebratory dinner and summit stories.
Hike back down to Nyakalengija Gate, transfer to Kasese for a hot lunch, then board your Aerolink flight back to Entebbe. Arrive and conclude your Rwenzori expedition with lasting memories.
